As a seasoned finance executive with a proven track record in transformation, Nicholas brings over two decades of leadership experience driving financial performance and operational excellence across Fortune 100 companies and leading professional services firms. Throughout his career, he has consistently delivered exceptional returns on investment. He has received numerous recognitions for his work including being named to Key Executives list of “The Top 100 Accounting Executives of 2021”. His achievements include restructuring global functions to achieve up to 65% savings and obtaining extensive growth via M&A. He has closed over 22 deals, worth a total value of $4.2 billion. Even amidst challenging economic times over 90% of acquisitions exceeded projections.
Currently serving as Senior Vice President and Corporate Controller at WSP USA, Nicholas oversees comprehensive financial operations of a $5.5 billion dollar revenue region with 19,000 employees. His role encompasses M&A due diligence and integration, financial analysis, tax, billing, AP, AR, accounting & controlling, business intelligence, internal audit, payroll, FAR government compliance, and transformation projects, resulting in significant improvements in operational efficiency. Prior to WSP, as COO & CFO at K2 Partnering Solutions Ltd., he navigated complex global operations, implemented rigorous financial controls, and drove EBITDA growth through focused cost management and strategic initiatives.
Previously, at PageGroup, Nicholas served as CFO of the Americas and was tapped to lead a transformative journey of centralizing global back-office functions and reducing costs by $30 million (13%) annually while also enhancing operational agility. He began his career at Siemens where, for 10 years, he moved up through the ranks from internal audit to strategic planning, and then divisional CFO. His commitment to operational excellence and strategic vision has consistently translated into substantial revenue growth, including a notable 108% increase through innovative project controls and contract strategies.
Nicholas’ educational background includes an MBA with Summa Cum Laude honors from Texas A&M University and a BS in Finance from Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business, complemented by
certifications including a CDA and extensive leadership training through the Siemens Management Development Program at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill in collaboration with the Center for Creative Leadership.
He is a past President of Financial Executives International (FEI) in NYC and serves as Nominations Chair on its board of directors. He also sits on the board of finance for the Town of New Canaan, CT as well as on
multiple local town committees. He is a member of the national Design Finance Officers Group (DFOG) and serves as a member of the Federal Agencies & Procurement Advocacy Committee at the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC). He served as Vice Chairman of the advisory board of the Fordham University Alumni Association, and as a member of the board of CEO Trust as well as on the board of Financial Executives International (FEI) Dallas. He also served as advisory board member of Cashforce, a Belgian fintech company which was subsequently acquired by the German payment solutions company TIS GmbH.
